What is the play about?
The show is set in 1901 on the ten-year anniversary of Sir John A. Macdonald’s death. You will follow “SALON Theatre” a turn-of-the-century fictional acting troupe that is getting ready to mount Kingston’s very first outdoor theatrical show about Sir John A’s life and legacy. The often dysfunctional theatre troupe will immerse the audience in music, comedy, and hijinks as they bring the audience along on a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience through the downtown core of Kingston.

Who will you meet?
Throughout the summer, In Sir John A’s Footsteps will be graced by a number of Guest Hosts. From Lobbyists and Politicians, to renowned Authors and Academics, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the people who are shaping Canada and Kingston right now.
A Note About Weather
Because this is an outdoor show, in the event of heavy rain, a show may need to be cancelled. If a show is cancelled, you will be offered a voucher for another show, or a full refund. Final decisions will be made 10 minutes prior to show time so that we may avoid any and all unnecessary cancellations.
